What’s your primary question?
by Aaron Leung on May.06, 2009, under Events
I came across this the other week which I noticed it impacted on my in several areas.
I used to always ask “How can I be better?”. This was good as it made me look at all the different ways of improving, but it had a negative downside.
By asking how can I be better, presupposed I wasn’t good enough. It effected my self esteem and confidence.
My new primary question is “How can we use all our resources within us now even more, to positively influence those around us, where people take action and make an impact on their lives now?”
As you can imagine, this has a huge impact to me and the people around me.
So take a moment, what’s been your primary question in the past, and what’s a better primary question you can start asking yourself?
To give you a helping hand, here’s a few phrases you can incorporate into your new primary question.
Phrases like “even more” presupposes you already have or are, and “right now” enchances the question by finding and answer right now, not someday where the momentum will be lost.
Let us know what your old primary questions were and what your new empowering question is now. Would love to hear from you
Much strength and love,
Aaron Leung
